When I render any (1080p) video (with Sony Avc or Mainconcept Internet 720p or 1080p presets for YouTube), the image of rendered videos is slightly softer. Is this possible or maybe its just a feeling? 🙂

I probably found the source of the problem. I shot some footage with my old Canon HV20 camera. I set the camera to progressive mode (the camera can shoot progressive and interlaced video), but Vegas sees the footage as interlaced. When I change it (in project settings) or render it to progressive, the video seems to be softer. But the camera is really set to record progressive video. I dont get it.

Well then let it remain as Interlace and also disable resampling
    on all the events.

Should I also upload it to YouTube as interlaced?

Is there a way how to know for sure if the video is really interlaced or progressive?
