Does vegas studio save as veg files ? can you import a project on time line like in vegas pro – yet while using vegas studio

Yes, but if you SAVE your work in VP you won’t be able to open and rework back in STUDIO.

I am trying to talk a friend through importing one of his VF files into his time line. He says it will not let him import. I don’t have studio so not sure what the deal is?

He says it is not available to import? it doesn’t show up as an option top import.

Just drag it onto the timeline from the explorer, or from Windows Explorer. Grab it and drop the .veg file onto the timeline.

Perhaps it’s the use of the term “import” that is leading us to the wrong direction.
Just drag the media file or veg file to the timeline.

The deal is Movie Studio does not support nested projects so this cannot be done. Movie Studio also doesn’t support the .veg format, it can only read it’s own .vf format as a main project.
