Advanced visual effects question…
Hi, this is way over my head, so I am putting it out there. I am shooting a webseries in HD and one scene involves a girl running down a narrow enclosed corridor towards a futuristic hatch-doorway like something you might find on some Star Wars set. Ok so my idea was to get a digital artist to create a custom designed image of this futuristic hatchway, and then print THAT in VERY large format and install it except the opening is 10×12′ and that size print would cost huge $$, so I am opting for a visual effects solution. I can have my graphic artist custom create the image and then overlay or mask that onto the main sequence timeline and it all gets kind of hazy at this point as the .jpg hatchway image would have to move fluidly and flawlessly through the entire timeline in all possible ways i.e. get smaller or larger as needed / be consistent in perspective – does keyframing even work in this situation? This may be the realm of motion graphics and not Vegas – any input here recommended.
