Help with Ayato 45

I’ve been doing this tutorial (https://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae45_e.html) for some time now but I seem to be stuck. The first two flying line thingy effects go smoothly. However when I come to making 3d stroke write my text (logo) everything goes wrong. I make a mask by creating outlines of my text in after effects. I delete the original text layer so I only keep the outlines. I apply 3d stroke on them and here comes the difficulty. When I change my offset al the letters are moving at the same time. It’s not like in the example that for example. by the word “Hello” first the H is drawned and after that the E. What happens with my work is that every letter is drawn at the same time. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Cause I just don’t seem to get it.

Is your text a single path like his is?

No it isn’t but when I pressed the stroke sequentilly button it first didn’t work. Now however it works just fine :). Thnx for your help though
