    Hi again,
I am rendering footage that has been masked on various tracks onto one new track using ‘render to new track’ in the tools menu. I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 11. The clips are rendered out onto the new track via Sony MXF. No matter which variation I choose the clip renders to a smaller aspect ratio? I’m not sure what the aspect ration is, but it’s equally smaller on all sides.
The aspect ratio I am working with is 1920 x 804. When rendering to a new track under Sony MXF there is no option to custom change the aspect ration, but to leave it as 16:9, whether 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720.

If I render a whole project out with this aspect ratio it is no problem and all works well, but not to a new track? Vegas defaults to Sony MXF and so I presume this is the workable project file for sony vegas.

    Thanks in advance for help

Double check and make sure you are selecting the correct template
and settings when you choose Render to new track, or try
    render to a different format.
Why would you want to change the aspect ratio 16:9?

    Hi Steve,
My project is in 2:39 cinematic widescreen.
When I render a project out of Vegas I can customize the aspect ratio to this with the templates need for either Architect Pro, or simply internet streaming use. But I don’t want to use these formats to render to a new track otherwise I will lose some quality in compressing it?

I’m presuming the Sony MXF format doesn’t lose quality as it is not for playing on media players, but for use within a project in Vegas….but I can’t get the right settings to suit my aspect ratio??
