Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Rendering twice

After capturing my footage to Vegas 12, I render the footage(HDV 1080-60i). Then when I want to burn a DVD, Architect 6.0 renders it again. Is this 2nd rendering needed? Doesn’t it lose some clarity rendering it twice?
I go from 1440×1080 60i to burning a standard DVD.
    Thanks for your time.

A DVD is standard def (720×480 for NTSC) only so that’s why it’s rendering it again.
You need to render from Vegas using the appropriate DVD Architect MPEG-2 template for video and Dolby Digital AC-3 pro template for audio.
Give both the same name and render them to the same folder.
That way, when you load the video file into DVD Architect, the audio file will automatically follow,

Render using the DVD Architect MPEG-2 template exactly as
Mike said is the proper method when authoring using Vegas
and Architect…. That way, there will be no need for
re-encoding in Architect and also increased time.
