  After Effects Keylight 1.2

  I’ve keyed out my talent but it seems that whenever they move in the shot there is some noise around the edges. I’ve tried everything including other keyers but keylight has looked the best so far. Does anyone know why there is noise around the edges? It’s not as noticeable when they’re standing still but increases when they move. The green screen is pretty close to evenly lit although there is a subtle difference from top to bottom. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Canon XLH1
  1920×1080
  HDV Codec

  After Effects CS4
  Keylight (1.2)

  Mac
  processor 2 x 2.8 GHz- Core Intel Xeon
  Memory 6 GB

  What codec would you suggest?

  if you have the drive space, quicktime lossless animation or uncompressed avi to avoid further loss of chroma data. if you don’t need audio, any image sequence is fine (tiff, targa, photoshop, png).

  if you can’t afford the drive space, quicktime’s photo-jpeg at a higher quality setting, avid’s dnxhd (free from avid), apple’s pro res, or dvcprohd are some good options.
