Simple effect question
If I wanted to give a video a paused effect at the end, like, freezing the video for 10 seconds or so, and make it greyscale, how would I go about that?

Many ways. Here’s what I do:
1] Right Click on Video Event and select Switches > Loop > UnCheck
2] Pull the end of Video to 10 Seconds
3] Apply a Greyscale FX, something that will “desat”, and using the Keyframes apply it to the start of the that last 10 seconds of the Video.
Should take you about 30 seconds to execute. Done!

I just tried doing that. I unticked Loop, but when I stretched the video it just showed more of the video. (I’m using one big 2 hour file, I wanted to chop it up into 20 minuteish pieces and apply the effect at the splits at the end)

My mistake: Make a Subclip and de-Loop that. Apologies…..
Alternatively, if this is unacceptable to make a Subclip at this point in the Video, at the very FRAME you WANT the video to ” . . paused effect at the end, like, freezing the video for 10 seconds” Create a Still of that very Frame and use that; Import it back and extend it for the time you want, as the End of that section.
