I always tell people when they complain about there computer to save their work before running it or printing it depending on the case.

I have worked about 5 hours finishing a project that I have been working all week for my pastor’s 60th birthday and a few minutes ago I went to run it a final time before rendering it.

It ran all the way through and within seconds at the end it locked up. I was devastated. I didn’t want to reboot, I wanted to scream. I finally rebooted and went back in to Vegas to see how much I had lost.

A window popped up, would you like to restore from previous crash. Oh Thank God. The last autosave got the entire project saved. I didn’t even know there was an autosave on Vegas. Now to breath and render this project.

I do a “save as” as I go along with projects and usually end up with 8 or 10 veg files so if one goes terribly bad, I can go back and use my last good veg file. I always start a project with 001name.veg so I know the order. That will also put the veg file at the top of the list of files so they are easy to find.

Thats a good word. I do that with other programs but Vegas has always been so stable that I just didn’t think about doing it.

    Thank you!
