Vegas 12, Will not render multiple projects together
I have completed five chapters of a movie and all the individual projects have already been rendered separately. I now open all 5 projects onto a video track, one after the other, but only the first project will render and then Vegas just hangs indefinitely. Please advise me on how to combine all my 5 rendered chapters into one complete movie.

Are you using embedded projects or importing the rendered chapters into a new project?

Hi Steve, I’m importing rendered chapters into a new project in order to finally render all the imported chapters together into a complete movie.

Depending on the encoder you’re using, you are re-rendering already rendered footage. While I doubt it has anything to do with your original question, the preferred workflow is to complete each chapter in it’s own project and drag each chapter’s .veg file to the timeline of the master project.

Yes, I was trying to get the main project to render more quickly by combining and then re-rendering already rendered smaller projects.
