PluralEyes 3
Has anyone been successful using PluralEyes 3 with Vegas Pro 12?
I get an immediate crash. Plural Eyes 2 works fine.
Red Giant has no solution.

I think PlurlEyes 3 is just for Macs. Version 2.0.3 is for the PC.

Here’s what somewhat at Red Giant says.
“PluralEyes 2 was not be made compatible with Sony Vegas 12 however, PluralEyes 3 for Windows will be a standalone application that will be able to export files that work with any NLE.”
I like the person’s response, though. These websites apparently need to stop hiring college graduates and hire guys like me who actually understand what people need to know about their product when on their website, because Adobe’s and Red Giant’s are needlessly opaque.

I’m not sure what good a stand alone application would be because in the end you want the video and audio to go on your Vegas timeline.

There is a small procedure for Vegas: You click the PluralEyes button on the toolbar, the external program opens; you load the files; sync them and import them back into Vegas.
This however, does not work (yet); not even after two beta-updates they gave me.
So; before getting into the driver paranoia, I was just wondering if anybody has PE3 working with Vegas.

Plural Eyes 3 works perfectly in Vegas 12 everyone. After
installation, you place the icon on your Vegas toolbar,
you simply highlight all the tracks you want to sync, then
press the icon and take it from there.Steve Rhoden

PE working flawlessly here.
Mixed B-Camera SD 720×567 avi with A-Camera HD 1920x1080i mxf.
Hit PE Icon on Toolbar
PE boots up.
PE does its thing and and then I select Export Timeline from PE and I am back in Vegas with the clips synched.
What more do I need? PE even has a “Try Harder” option!! – Kinda GUI I just adore.
Oh yes, I might add that I had the MXF clips in Vegas completely mixed up, just literally thrown on the Vegas Timeline and some even overlapped, and with the PE option to reorder the clips – huh! Done!

I wished you to know that using me as a control, that it does work. Now having established that, do get in touch with Red Giant and open a ticket. They are very helpful.
