I have a video clip that was captured out of a nintendo Wii and it doesn’t look very good. I think I’m having an interlacing problem. From what I’ve read about interlacing, it sounds like the TV would normally deinterlace it properly but since I captured it to a video on the computer I’m having the problem. What can I do in Vegas to make it look better? You can see the interlacing lines on the soccer ball pretty well. I’ll be playing the final video on a computer if that makes any difference. I’ve tried all sorts of settings and nothing is making it look any better.

The video is an H.264 MP4. Let me know if you need any more information.

Make sure that your project settings are set for interlaced video. Also make sure that your Deinterlace Method is not set to None. Finally, render to a progressive format. Feel free to post screen shots of your project properties if you have any questions about how to set it up correctly.
