  Export Video & Audio without rendering

  I have a rough cut of my video, I need to send it to a friend who is going to polish up the video and audio for me. He works with Final Cut Pro X and audio software. He’s asked me to
  1. Export –> EDL. Ok, no problem…I can do that
  2. Export the video without rendering.

  I’m not sure about point 2. I see on Sony Vegas, I can Export –> Final Cut Pro X. Is that the way to export without rendering?

  Finally, it’ll be a big file so what’s the best way to share it? Maybe Dropbox?

  Yes, that’s what you want to give him. Forget the EDL. Vegas Pro 12.0 will export for Final Cut X in their project format.
