  • How to render a split screen with and w/o effects?

I want to render a video that looks like the split screen view in video preview, preferably with a diagonal line.

I want to show a client a before and after color correction

I prefer to use the mask feature found in Pan/Crop as shown in the images below (my ugly mug!!).
Place the same event of different tracks and apply the mask and FX to the upper one.
I used an extreme amount of CC strictly for demo purposes.

Yea, there is no easy way to do this. The split screen in the preview does not show up when rendering. You will have to do some cleaver masking as Mike suggested.

    Thanks guys,

Mike got me headed in the right direction and I created this video so the client could choose the level of saturation they liked

Saturation increases one point each second on the top 3rd of the video
