Vegas 12 crashes when ProType titler is selected
Vegas 12 build 563 crashes as soon as I select ProType titler.
I have tried reverting to build 394 and build 486 with the very same results.
I am able to drag ProType Titler to timeline and type text into the ProType titler. But! When I try to change the font, lockup occurs.
When I simply click on ProType titler in the media gen window, vegas will lockup as soon as the sample clips appear in the media gen window.
I have uninstalled graphic card drivers, and reinstalled updated drivers.
I reinstalled SVP 12 build 563 and the problem remains.

in case you’re using two GPUs completely uninstall one of them or try using older drivers.

I really don’t think this is a Vegas 12 build whatever issue. Something happened in my PC when I uninstalled a 4TB raid. Can’t say what happened but it only affected Vegas when using ProType titler.
Later today I’ll swap my 2 graphics cards with another PC that’s running Vegas 12 just fine. That should tell me if the problem is with the graphics cards.

I have removed both my Nvidia graphics cards and installed a Gigabyte GV-R577UD card (ATI Radeon HD 5700 series) and updated the Radeon drivers.
same story. vegas works until I click on ProType titler.
So, once again I uninstall Vegas 12, I run CCleaner and re-install Vegas 12. No improvement, same story.
I am dead-in-the-water here and have been for over 48 hrs.
I am going to uninstall vegas again, create a new admin user account and install in that account. the vegas 12 license will probably deny me another install, so I wait till monday and call and bitch?
meanwhile..
I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

The fixes show on this YouTube video fixed the crashes I was getting while trying to render, and I believe it fixed my ProType titler crashes as well.
There’s 3 things he suggests, so I’ll just link to the video for the specifics:

Hope it helps, It’d been causing me a lot of trouble before I finally got it fixed with this.
