color isolation
Posted by Jaysri Sridharan on April 9, 2013 at 1:54 pmI would like a subject moving all around in a clip with all colors-dress,skin tone etc- whereas all others in the video remaining black and white. Of course, this can be achieved creating a mask of the subject and moving that mask frame by frame which is laborious and time consuming. Double Color isolation doesn’t help either. Is there any plug in to achieve this effect?

April 9, 2013 at 7:09 pmHi Stephen,
Thanks for your immediate response. This two color isolation can be achieved with three tracks, tracks 1 & 2 for colors and 3 for B/W .
I can isolate dress color in track 2 and skin tone (complexion of the subject)in Track 1.Fine. But, once I isolate the complexion of the subject, all other persons in the video exhibit same color complexion with colorless or B/W dresses. What I want to achieve is the subject alone should have complexion and color dress. All others should be be totally B/W
Any suggestion? -

April 9, 2013 at 7:50 pmWhat about Mocha? The only problem is that Mocha will not export shape data into Vegas, only tracking data. Do you have another recipient software like AE or FCP? That would help a lot.

April 11, 2013 at 1:27 pmHi Jaysri,
FCP (Final Cut Pro) is just another editing software, used on a Mac.
Rotoscoping in Boris RED 4 is possible, but then you will have to do it manually, frame by frame. A lot of work….

April 25, 2013 at 9:47 amIt has been several months now since I installed New Blue fx trial version into my vegas pro 11. It doesn’t work now. Can anyone give me an idea as to how to remove this from the fx plug in chain.
