When viewing my clips, they are high quality and don’t lag. However when i put them into the Sony Vegas timeline, the frames seem to overlap and create a pixelated image. That may not be what’s happening, but that’s the only way i can think of explaining it. I don’t have the time to convert hours of video into a different format. Is there any way I can get Vegas to play the files properly?

Where are you seeing this bad quality, in the preview window? If so, that doesn’t mean your final output will be bad. It only means that your graphics card isn’t powerful enough to give you nice, smooth preview playback.

    Bad quality?
    I watch movies in mp4.
I render all my videos to mp4 including 3D which I just started working with it.
    No bad quality.
Check your preview settings and your graphics card settings/quality etc.

Where did these files come from? It could be that they are not compatible with Vegas Pro. Try uploading a small sample for others to download and try on their computers. That will either confirm or eliminate your computer as the problem.
