  • changes in Sony Vegas Pro 12?

    Hi,

In previous versions of Vegas Pro, When I clicked on the solo button on a video track, it used to mute all the other tracks, including audio. Now when I click on solo on a video track, it only mutes the other video track but the audio is not muted. Is this a change in Vegas 12 or am I imagining things. Is there a way to set it back to the way it was?

Also, I noticed that the latest update fixed the Sony Stabilize plugin and I am now able to use it in 32 bit floating point. Now if I want to apply this Media FX to specific parts of clip only and no the entire Media, how do I go about it? I thought I could just create a sub clip but it doesn’t seem to work. I still applies the Media FX to the original media.

    Thank you for your help.

You’re imagining things. Solo and Mute work in 12 just like they always have.

I am not seeing any change of which you are mentioning.

You’re right, I was imagining things. I could have sworn I could mute everything but a single track with a single click. But I tried in Vegas 11 and I can’t. I gotta lay off the missus’s pills. 🙂

Well, unless I had a bug or faulty installs on 3 different machines for the past 2 years, I for one couldn’t apply Sony stabilizer on 32bit floating point, till the latest update. I could only do it in 8bit.

If you SOLO a video track, all other video tracks are muted. If you SOLO an audio track all other audio tracks are muted. If you select more than one track and solo any one of the selected tracks, all the selected tracks are soloed. An oxymoron, I know, but if I have sixteen audio tracks and only want to preview two of them, then I select those two tracks and hit the solo button.

I was referring to your Solo button issue.
Frankly i dont bother using Vegas’s built in stabilizer,
(its limited), Prodad Mercalli plugin (its parent) is
    simply perfect.
