Can I import video tracks from another project?
With recording daws I can import tracks from another session, does vegas allow us to do that?
    Thanks.

I’m not sure if it’s what you mean exactly but you can have two Vegas projects open on your computer at the same time and copy and paste any tracks from one to the other.

Can I copy and paste a track(with all effects and track motion) or just the media in it?

I dont want to import just the media in a track, I want the whole track.

For example, I want to copy(import) 5 video tracks from one project into the other, not only those tracks medias but everything they have like track motion and effects.

With daws(pro tools as an example) I can import tracks from another session, there’s a “import tracks” feature, I just choose another session and which tracks I want.

[Joao Souza] “Can I copy and paste a track(with all effects and track motion) or just the media in it?”

    Yes, I’ve just done it.

[Joao Souza] “For example, I want to copy(import) 5 video tracks from one project into the other, not only those tracks medias but everything they have like track motion and effects.”

I’ve just copied 4 Audio Tracks with 5 Audio Events along with 13 Video Events with a mix of FX-ing and PAnCrop . . .etc etc . .

I see, so you replied only to say you did it but you don’t say how?

    LOL

I don’t wanna know if you can do it, I wanna know how to do it 😉
BTW I love your Darth Vader pic 😉

Unless I missed something, you didn’t ask the “how”, you only asked if it was possible. Pat answered the “how” so, again, I answered your question if you could. And I took time to reconfirm it for myself too.

Ask a question and I’ll attempt to answer.

Obviously when somebody asks something like “can I this or that”, he doesn’t know how to do it so HOW is implied 😉

[Joao Souza] “I see, so you replied only to say you did it but you don’t say how?”

You asked if you could do a copy/paste. The answer is yes and that’s how it’s done.

BTW, Track Motion keyframes will not copy to a new track.

    Thanks Mike.
So I can’t import tracks(and everything they have) from another session.

You can copy and paste tracks from project to project all day and night long. What you can’t do is copy Track Motion keyframes.

If I can’t copy track motion keyframes with its track, it means I can’t copy the whole track, I’d have to make all key frames again so it’ll be a new track and not an imported track with all its functions including key frames 😉
