  Using Screen Shots

  Hi,

  I am trying to use screen shots of text in my video, but the resolution is terrible.

  How do the pros do this? I see this kind of thing done on the TV network news where they show a document that is perfectly legible; mine are blurry.

  You have a document. A WORD Doco? Or what type of doco . . ?

  This is how I do it:

  1/- Print to PDF

  2/- Open in Adobe Acrobat

  3/- Zoom up to 300% – or depending on your area you need to cover.

  4/- Select ALL

  5/- Open my Graphics package – Corel – and Paste

  6/- Save in the most resolution<>sensible<>size format I want. For me that’s like a <1.5mb PNG

  7/- Import into VP.

  Job Done!

  The recognition that you’ve realized is that whatever happens, the ScreenGrab is limited to:

  A] That which you can SEE

  and . .

  B] The reso you’re allowed in a ScreenGrab session.

  So, to recap:

  Print to PDF > Open Adobe Acrobat > Select All > “COPY” > Graphics package and “PASTE” > Save as a Vegas Media, and for me that’s PNG.
