  Audio clips in Vegas 12 timeline

  When I drag an audio file into the timeline, the clip is shown on two tracks.
  How do i change the setting to show both channels of audio on a single track

  Are you wanting to do mono audio?

  Separate tracks is my preferred mode, but that’s just my workflow.

  First, any media on the timeline is an EVENT – not a clip. Search the manual for “clip” and you will be disappointed.

  Right click on any audio event, select “Channels”, then select “Channels 1/2”.

  To prevent this in the future, go to Options/Preferences/General and uncheck the item: “Import stereo as dual mono”
