Two black film clip?
I have a movie that is 8min and 32sekunder long, wich I cut together with Sony Vegas 12. The clips are filmed with Gopro Hero2 with 720-30p. When I’m done and render the clip (as MP4 720-60p) everything looks good, but the clip is 1.7 GB, which is far too big because I want to post it on Facebook (They have a 1gb limit).
I try again with “internethd 720-30fps” and this time its only about 500mb, but two of the clips in the film are completly black! Those two clips are filmed with a Iphone 4. The sound works like a charm but the image is black. Other clips are filmed using the same mobile is working. Those who do not work are 1080-24p. The two black clips can only be shown when I render at least 50fps, but then the film gets too big!!
Sumary: The two clips from the mobile doesnt show unless i use at least 50fps (I think that is the case) but when i do the film gets to big!
Please help me find some way to render the movie so that the mobile clips are not black and the film becomes less than 1gb!

Try this: Don’t mix the 2 Formats in the same Project. If I find issues with mixed Formats I set my Project to the majority if the Media, here for you that could be the GoPro, and render, in a separate Vegas project, the iPhone Media. Bring that DI (Digital Intermeadiate) back into your main project and render again. Lets see if you can “cure” this black frames issue to start with? Then start to hassle the search for small file size.

The majority of the clips are from the gopro 720-30p. If i understand your reply correctly im supposed to render the two black clips separate and then insert them to my project once this is done?
I’ll try to do this now, and render the two clips with 720-60p.mp4!:) -
I rendered the clips separate AND IT WORKED!
