Avermedia Live Gamer capture card + Sony Vegas render settings advice
Hello, I was recently using Dxtory to record some gameplay footage for youtube and while it recorded files at quite a large size, I was always able to render them down to become quite small, like going from 20+GB files rendered to 400-600 MB.
I purchased an Avermedia Live Gamer HD capture card recently and have been using it to record my gameplay. It recorded files much much smaller, I’m talking about a 20 minute video becoming only 3GB in size. But when I render down the video using the exact same settings it comes out at 1.03 GB. I was expecting it to be much smaller based on past experience the other way. I as hoping someone could shed some light on it.
When recording with Dxtory I was recording 720p video in an H.264 format. With the Capture Card I am still doing MP4 H.264, but I am recording at 1080p now. The bitrate for recording is 20,000kbps.
Hope this info helps and in return someone can help me, I want to know how to make them smaller like before. As over 1GB videos are too big to upload for my internet.
