  Sony Vegas 11 problems with timeline

  Alright so when I load mp4 files in sony vegas 11 and drag them into the time line about a third of the way into the video the time line turns green, like this.

  So yep, I have tried uninstalling the k lite codec pack i had then re installing vegas but to no avail also spent hours searching the inernet but nothing. I also dont believe that it is a corrupt file as it loads fine in any media player. Finally this is the only file type that has this problem to my knowledge, so please help.

  You’ve got the K-Lite CODEC pack installed. This maybe the issue as what was already installed and the KL start fighting each other for supremacy!

  Try this: Download G-Spot and determine just is inside the media. GS will also indicate if you have the CODEC and what CODEC you need.

  I’ve never ever dl-ed KL and would never advise to do so.
