Hi people, dont know what I did wrong but I was editing an HD veg. file as normal and rendered out as normal, just a 5 min segment. On playback the rendered file had some audio loss.

I opened Vegas ( Pro 9.e) again put the veg file back on time line and the portion affected did play back silent…problem is the peaks are there and waveform shows them as variable as it plays.

Pasted the audio in a sound program and it shows up as normal but no sound again.

All other audio plays fine on same track

Copied to new track…same prob. Audio properties are exactly the same as all other audio events.

Worse thing is I played back the original capture and the audio is silent at the same point tho the peaks are still there.

I can re-capture from the cam again (Canon xha1s) and copy/paste a dupe but doesn’t really address the problem as it might occur again…any info please, Pete.

Never mind…audio is back again. Dont know what happened but I had restarted Vegas a few times and rebooted the comp twice to no effect. Came back an hour later and the sound was back, both in the rendered file and the original capture…go figure.
