Sony Vegas 12 Pro problems
Hi, I just bought Vegas Pro 12, I’ve been doing for years same work I’m trying to do with Vegas 12 in Vegas 9 with ANY problems at all, I have all the same kind of source media NTSC MPEG2, I just need to do a simple edit line, create markers between the videos and then create the DVD on DVDA, simple… Vegas 9 worked PERFECT, fast and no errors, I buy Vegas 12 thinking… this will be best… and Can’t even finish the render, freezes in different parts of the video, some test I made on MPEG2 if I play them in computer present skips in some parts, and Render is Really Slow … I have a i7 with 16Gb Ram, Thermaltake case so warm is not problem, GTX 570, What is more frustrating is that with previous version didn’t have ANY problems, I could re install vegas 9 and loses what paid for 12, but I think thats not the idea, I want new version working best than old. Please help, what could be. Vegas is latest version, all drivers ar up to date.

Reading here, tried what other people said, DISABLE GPU ACC, and… it worked for a better render time, don’t think that a solution but, it worked, didn’t freeze during render and finishes quickly, still the problem that the rendered MPEG2 if I play from computer skips in some points, that never happened with a MPEG2 rendered from vegas 9, is VERY strange, did several test and ALL the MPEG2 rendered from vegas 12 have those skip (audio and video freezes for a momment and then continues), Vegas 9 or premiere MPEG2 renders plays PERFECT.

I had been having issues similar to this. I solved by not getting rid of the project that gave me the most troubles, and right clicked Vegas and ran under “Windows 7 compatibility”. It still isn’t running as good as it used to before issues suddenly popped up, but usable.
