  16 bits DPX from Phantom HD

  Hey guys,

  I have a problem, I shot a music video with the Phantom HD with cinemag.

  The footage was then converted as DPX 16 bits files.

  I was planning on doing the editing/post with after effects but it appears than it only takes 10 bits DPX.

  They open fine in photoshop.

  Any ideas for another mac work flow?

  Did you update to After Effects 9.0.2?

  Here’s a line from the list of things fixed in this version:
  “Cannot open DPX file that can be opened in Photoshop CS4; file converted from Phantom .cine to DPX using Glue Tools.”

  Hi,

  We have a Phantom Cine Toolkit for the Mac, that lets you natively open the Phantom Footage in any QuickTime compatible app. This include Final Cut Pro, Compressor and After Effects.
  It allows you to preserve the 16-bit depth until you export to your target format.
