    When I use a mic to record a voice clip directly into Vegas 11, only the right channel records it. I use an Alpha Lexicon external soundcard with the mic plugged into the XLR socket. Any assistance is appreciated.

    That’s because if you’re like me… you probably only have one mouth. 😉

    This is normal. Usually it only records the Left channel. What you need to do is select the Right Channel input only so that it records a mono file (because the mic is mono). That will then play out of both speakers on playback.
