  • Question about encoding

Hello, I’m new here (french) 🙂
I wanted to just know : If I “transcode” a video (sony vegas pro 11) with the same codec (avc for example) and the same bitrate, will the new video have low-quality from the “source” or will it be the same video with same quality ?_?

It all depends on the parameters given to the codec. They are very complicated.

    I’m waiting for a “yes” or a “no” that’s all 🙂
I was thinkin that a video re-encoded has necessarily a lower quality even with the same bitrate because I see that size of a video uncompressed is more and more high than the original one (I’v tested with a footage of 3 min, it was 100 MB but when i convert it in uncompressed mode it was about some GB O.O )

Obviously there will be a difference, but it wont be visible
    to the naked eye.
