Nothing to do with the new movie being out or anything, but does anyone know a quick and easy way to emulate the scrolling computational graphics that run over the picture whenever you see a Terminator’s point of view shot. They used a similar effect in Toy Story 2 when Emperor Zurg spots Buzz running out of Al’s Toy Barn. (Love that movie!)
    Cheers!

Trish and Chris Meyer may have something available, too. There’s a blurb on similar effects (a bit less sophisticated) in several of their AE books.

Also check out the tutorials at https://www.videocopilot.net, they had one recently called HUD display or something like that, which is just what you’re after… HUD means heads-up display, which is what those things are 🙂

… and sometimes you can find articles on “termovision” out there on the interwebs.

Thanks guys. I did see the video-copilot tutorial, but was after something a wee bit less time-consuming! Andrew Kramer is the bomb though!
