    Hello everyone,

Till now i worked with SV pro 9 on my old (and when i use many tracks to see the playback) slow pc-system.
I like to upgrade to pro 11, because i like to work with 3-D (and also with AVCHD).
So i need a new system.

For me it’s important i can see the playback with many tracks (7 a 8) in real time. In general i work with photographs and I make them “move”. Of course the price is important, but more important is a good (fast, stabile) running system.

I looked arround and this is my conclussion till yet.

    – Processor: i7 64 bits aprox 3500Mhz (generation?)
    – Motherboard: asus (type i still don’t know. suggestions?)
    – Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 (because sony vegas test) or (budget) Asus GeForce ENGTX560 DC?2D/1GD5 -1GB- PCI-E
    – O.S. : Windows Home Premium (RAM till 16 GB) or maybe (budget) Ultimate???
    – SSD (flash memory for fast starts)
    – E sata: ?
    – Power (feeding) between 600 and 700W.

Probably i forgot some important things.
I like your comments, suggestions and advise.

    kindly regards theo

The main problem is i need a lot of power for the playback in realtime.
So, the combination of the RAM and the graphic card is important.
How does cpu and gpu work together to get the optimal result?
I was informed by this interesting discussion.

    It seems plausible.
    Can someone comment upon this?

Take a look at John Rofrano’s new system and specs at https://www.johnrofrano.com/pcequipment.htm
I built my last system around his old one and am still using it.

Now that he’s finally built his new one, it looks like it’s time for me to empty my bank account again.
    Thanks John 🙂
