    Hi everyone,

I’m in an odd situation here. I’ve been given some PAL & NTSC clips to edit together. The PAL footage is NOT sped-up, it has a pulldown applied to it (The original source was 24fps).

The NTSC footage also has pulldown applied to the clip (The original source was 24fps).

Since both the PAL/NTSC source were original both 24fps before put on DVD, is there anyway to remove the pulldown in Vegas to get BOTH files back to the original 24fps frame rate so I can combine them? Or am I “S.O.L”?

    Thanks,
    Brannon

I know Vegas can remove the NTSC pulldown from 29.97 back to 23.976 but I’m not sure about the PAL pulldown. I’ve never come across that before. Most people just change the playback rate with PAL since it’s only 1 frame difference.

Just create a 23.976 project and drop the footage into it and see what Vegas does. It should remove the NTSC pulldown without a problem.
