Computer Screen Capture?
Posted by Ken Bennett on July 2, 2012 at 3:07 pmI need to capture a clients computer screen activity for training purposes such as you see in webinars. Then edit that in Vegas along with new video footage. That is the best practice to accomplish this task?
Thanks.

July 2, 2012 at 4:48 pmThere are a lot of screen recording software, for example:
1) CamStudio (free)
2) Screenpresso (free/paid versions)
3) Movavi Screen Capture Studio ($49.95)
4) Camtasia Studio ($299.00)Vegasaur – automation plugins and tools for Sony Vegas Pro

July 2, 2012 at 6:02 pmI’ve used CamStudio, and it could hardly be easier to use. You install it, press record, and you’re off. You can set it to record audio from your microphone or your computer’s speakers as well.

July 3, 2012 at 2:23 amCoincidentally, I used CamStudio to record a video tonight, and it wouldn’t work. I’ve tested it before and it worked fine, and when I did a test of a few seconds it worked fine. Yet on a 7 minute video and a 20 minute video, it wouldn’t create a video file.
