    is there a plugin that works similar to the Photoshop shadow/highlight correction? for a video is far too dark, or has too strong contrasts because of backlighting, the built-in brightness/contrast controls won’t help much

    Color Curves is the one you want.

    hmm … thanks a lot … it didn’t really help much but maybe the video was too dark after all, I made a snapshot and Photoshop couldn’t get more out of it either … -m

    That’s very strange. I’m using Firefox 13.0.1 and it works for me.

    but as I said, even Photoshop couldn’t get much more out of this – it must have been darker than I thought 🙂

    Wow!! I was expecting a typical underexposed image but this wasn’t even close to being that good 🙁
    If your camera has manual iris control, please use it as often as you can as that’s the only way to compensate for situations such as this.
