please help! h.264 encoding with 1-pass quantization factor for constant quality
Hey!
Once again i have a question concerning h.264…
So i have some .mov sequences which i want compress using h.264 and mjpeg. The thing is that it is important that i can chose my quantization factor myself instead of the data rate so i get a somewhat constant quality out. I have already tried x.h264 ( which was problematic because of the conversion to .avis first) and the avs video converter. the avs video converter actually worked if i converteted my .movs into .avis on top of the h.264 compression but unfortunatelly i wasnt able to import these sequences into after effects later. If i kept .movs and just compressed them i couldnt play them at all anymore after (i have the latest version of the quicktime player). Does anybody have an idea why i might be having these problems and how i could possibly get round them? Or does anybody know any other software (preferably freeware or at least one thats not too expensive 😉 )i could use for this conversion/compression???
