  • AE not rendering effects from premiere?

Posted by Giuliano Roca on June 6, 2009 at 5:26 am

Hey guys here’s my problem I have rendered a video from AE
The video had been edited in premiere it had sound effects like low pass filters and so, not pluggings but effects.

And for some reason when AE ends rendering the video, the sound effects from premiere are lost.
Not the sounds but the effects thanks

    Why,

    Thanks!

Are you bringing in the PPro sequence through Dynamic Link or are you using the Premiere Pro project import feature?

If it’s the former, it should work.

If it’s the latter, not all video (let alone audio) effects are translated on project import. The list grows with each release, but it’s still not 100 per cent.

The lowpass effect in PPro is different from the High-Low pass effect in AE, so it’s not translated. Feel free to send a feature request if you want this to be addressed.

In Adobe Premiere Pro, an After Effects icon in the Effects panel denotes common effects used by both applications. So, you can check this in your PPro project beforehand.

The way I import the premiere project is by normally saving it to the desktop, and then dragging the file project into the AE icon is this the correct way?

    Thanks,

Yes, that’s correct if you want to use the Premiere project import feature.
