Fonts Do Not Work in Vegas 11??
Why do most of my font not work in Vegas 11? I can select the font and see the font in the text editor. But on the preview monitor it is always a plane arial font. Never had anything like this happen in Vegas 8, 9, or 10.
What’s the deal?

Not sure, some of the oddest things happens in Vegas 11…lol
Texts/Fonts in all versions of Vegas, has always has limitations
that should have been fine tune by now.
The most striking one im speaking of is the inability of selecting
subsets of a particular font eg:(After selecting a font, their is
no option for selecting the font style, like “regular/Bold/Italic”).Steve Rhoden

Which text-oriented media generator(s) is this happening in? I’ve tried to repro this in the three I’ve used most (well two and the new one I’ve barely used at all (Titles & Text) but haven’t managed to spot it in any of them so far.
The more frequently used ones being ProType Titler and (Legacy)Text. I didn’t try the Credit Roll generator, however, until just now but it too seems to work. (I don’t tend to use Credit Roll as it’s really clunky… it’s usually easier to generate title cards in another app and render an alpha transparency image that I can pan over.
I’m using one of the more recent (but haven’t installed the MOST recent) patch build. Build 511 (64-bit) is what I’m using right now.

After checking all the title generating options, the Titles & Text generator will NOT display all fonts correctly. I tested the font “Papryus LET” in all 4 options (Legacy Text, Titles & Text, ProType Titler and NewBlue Title Pro). It only fails in the Title & Text generator.
So Sony should fix the bug or drop this generator altogether.

It is the newest of the media generators for text, it wasn’t available in Vegas 10. Not unusual that they’d get it wrong, epecially in a first generation. I’ll see if I can repro the problem now.
Also curious, which Build do you have installed? It’s entirely possible it only repros in some builds and not others?

I can confirm this bug in Build 683 64-bit.
