  Best way to convert 24/96 to cd

  I have Sony Vegas Pro 10. I use an Edirol R-44 for audio, records at 24/96 & 24/192, 2 XLR mics, bwf/wav files. Audio sounds nice on Blu ray & dvd.

  When I burn the audio to cd ( Tools > Burn Disc > Disc At Once Audio CD ) after adding track numbers, the cd audio quality is not so nice. What is the most lossless way of converting my files to cd ?

  I get better results using the Legacy Disk Drivers, although I’ve never used your type of source and don’t typically use Vegas for CD authoring. Options, Preferences , CD tab, check the “use legacy disk drivers”. Might want to reboot windows to make sure it takes effect. This will cause Vegas to use Windows drivers to talk to the disk instead of the Vegas drivers.

  Thanks for your reply Stephen. “use legacy disc drivers” is already checked. On this tab, I also have the 1st checkbox checked “use strict red book…”.

  Maybe I have to render it first & specify how to convert ? However, I don’t see an option on SVP 10 that will let me burn a cd using a rendered file. I wouldn’t mind using some other software to down convert & burn, as long as it isn’t too pricey ( like over $200 ) & will let me add cd track markers.

  Strange that you are getting low quality CD burns in Vegas,
  often use it with great results, and when i dont use it, i use
  Ashampoo Burning Studio.
