    Hi,

I have a Dell XPS-17 running Vista Ultimate 64-bit with 8 gigs of RAM, a Q740 Core i7, and an Nvidia GeForce GT 445M with 3 gigs of GPU RAM. Previously, I had my Dynamic RAM Preview set at 3000 MB out of a system-recognized maximum of 7096 MB and the number of rendering threads set at 16.

Now all of a sudden Vegas only sees a maximum of 1024 MB and 4 rendering threads.

Any idea what changed and how I can unchange it?

    Thanks!

You are running the 32 bit version of Vegas Pro. The limits are 1024 MB and 4 threads.

I don’t have the 32-bit version installed any longer. I had kept it around because I was running a few 32-bit plugins. You can remove it and avoid the confusion in the future if you don’t have any 32-bit plugins.

    Aha! Thanks, Jeff!

What’s REALLY weird is that I didn’t even have Vegas 11 64-bit installed because I use a bunch of Red Giant plugs that only run in 32-bit, so I have no idea how I ever had those RAM options set to begin with (and I didn’t even think about the 32-bit factor. Duh).

Well that’s weird! Maybe you were looking at a friend’s computer or something. Oh well.
