Stablist version of Vegas Pro 11
Gentlemen, I’ve been away for awhile. Last time I was here Vegas 11 had come out and many users were experiencing problems. Have most of those issues been resolved now, and could you kindly tell me what’s the most stable version (build number) of Vegas 11 that you recommend? I’m thinking of updating my Vegas 10 to 11, but I can’t be experiencing problems, as I’m right in the middle of a few projects. Your thoughts on this issue will be gratefully received.

I have upgraded and have no troubles, but I am in the minority here. So I think I would say no to your upgrade.

Like Jeff I have upgraded, but with issues of the promised GPU assimilation, (one of the big claims of the new version) I wouldn’t bother with version 11 as it can’t do more than 10. Wait for 12.

I have stayed on 10c.
My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

Stay with Vegas 10 for the time being Rob.

I’ve been using 10e, but with the latest update of Vegas 11, it seems to be stable enough to use for me with GPU processing and NewBlue Titler functioning. Before, NewBlue was completely unreliable and would constantly lock up and crash Vegas.
Even so, I wouldn’t count on it working for everyone. And I still want to test whether I can now use Cineform avi footage, which is important for me.

Ok, guys thanks for the input. It seems the consensus is to stay with Vegas 10, ok then that’s what I’ll do. I’m really in no rush, I was just hoping it was ready to go………guess not.
Ya, Steve I’m on 10 c too………rock solid over here!! That’s exactly what I need in my apps., things that just work! You know what I mean. Anyways, I’ll hold off for now and check in down the road, perhaps when Vegas 12 comes out. Thanks again to everyone who offered a comment. -
V10 is actually less stable than V11 for me. V8 was almost rock solid.

Vegas 9.0e was the most stable recent version.

I’m nostalgic for Vegas 8 and 9 just thinking about it (even though 8 rendered incredibly slowly on my older computer compared to 9-11). I think I had one crash in the months I used Vegas 8, which I was pretty surprised to see.
