  Easiest Way to Do a Batch Render

  I have over 100 .mts files that I need to convert to AvidDNxHD. What would be the most painless way to do this? All the Vegas scripts I have fall short because they require me to create a separate Vegas project for each file.

  I am willing to explore programs beyond Sony Vegas.

  You can do this easy with the Vegas Batch Render script
  or you can take a look at the Transcoder feature from Vegasaur.

  Thanks for your reply, Steve. I have two batch render scripts and they both require me to create Vegas projects before rendering. That is a lot of steps for 150 clips. Would Vegasur require the same process?

  Sam, all you have to do is start up Vegas, load the files in, drop them all on the timeline, create a region for each one and run the Batch Render script that comes with Vegas.
  I use it all the time and it works like a charm 🙂

  Thank you for explaining that. That is a great trick. I have been using Vegas for 6 years and did not know that one. Always fun to learn something new.

  Glad to help Sam.
  I had to do a lot of batch rendering the past few months as I would get various games from the sports department at the college I work for.
  They would shoot the games on an AVCHD camera but needed them converted to WMV for upload to a different server.
  Vegas and that script to the rescue 🙂

  If you use batch render script in Vegas – make sure you set up your Dnx pre-set exactly how you want it in the render window before you launch the script tool.

  Vegas production assistant does good batch transcoding.
  Maybe mpeg streamclip
