  • Did 9.0.2 resolve all the technical issues with CS4?

Does anyone know if the update 9.0.2 has resolved all of it’s technical issues with CS4? Are there still problems that need to be resolved?

I heard that CS4 works better with the new Quad than the new 8 core because some of the plug ins don’t work with the 8 core. Is this true?

If you ever find a piece of software with no “technical issues”, I’d be very surprised.

The After Effects CS4 (9.0.2) update did fix a lot of problems, including many causes of crashes.

If you’re referring to the problem of some of the Cycore (CC) effects not working on the new Core i7 processors, then it’s worth noting that the After Effects CS4 (9.0.2) update comes with some updated versions of these Cycore effects that fix some known issues.

Details of the fixes are on my blog.

so does this mean all the problems were fixed and does it work properly on last years Mac Pro 2.8GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon. I saw this on after effects cs4 system software requirements (1,280×900 display with OpenGL 2.0–compatible graphics card) does this mac pro come with this card? and can i use a crt monitor with this version of AE and this computer? I heard some of the plugins dont work is this true?

try reading the previous post from Todd…

he answered most of your question.

doesn’t matter what monitor you use.. crt or lcd… it’s the computer that makes the software work.. not the monitor !!!!

I would be very suprised if you can’t use any mac from the last five years to run cs4… they are not going to alienate people by making it only work on a mac that was built yesterday… are they

    try thinking before typing !!

AE CS4 runs on the intel only. It wont run on any mac in the last 5 years, just intel. Don’t be rude.
