  scaling and masks

  yeah, so I just got done reading a bunch of threads on how to scale your layer independent of the masks that reside on that layer.

  Seems like it’s impossible.

  Dear AE team, please include an option in the next release that allows users to do that. It could be a nifty little switch that sits next to the maintain aspect ratio switch. My life would be so much happier right now.

  Here is the feature-request form.

  You might want to look into using track mattes.

  Please also see long-ish post I wrote on this (above in the thread list).
  Even if track mattes end up being a simpler solution in this case, it could be useful the next time you want to alter the processing order so that a feature that usually is calculated before another feature, gets processed later in the chain.
