I have two generic DVD burners in my system which lack Blueray and DVD-RW capability. Any suggestions for a good drive that includes those two functions? Ideally, no more than $150, but if I should go higher I will welcome the suggestion.

I have bought nothing but Pioneer drives for the past 10 years and they have never let me down. The Pioneer BDR-206 is a sweet deal for $95 at Videoguys.com. Use the COW5OFF coupon for an additional 5% discount for Creative COW members. 😉

I strongly concurr with John. The Pioneer BDR-206 on
Taiyo Yuden G02 8x media is a very clean burn (low
PI/PO error rates). It should be virtually impossible to
get a burn related DVD compatibility problem with this
pair. An 8x burn with the sped change is about as clean
as the 6x constant velocity burn.

You can still have bad media though but that isn’t the
    burner’s fault.
