edit a keyframe while watching from a different point in time
Can I have two views open at the same time — where each view is the same comp only at two different points in time? So that I could freeze one view at a precise frame then skip to another point in time — edit a keyframe and watch the results (in the frozen window) at that different point in time…

** Nice Workaround**
From Project window, I dragged my COMP to the make new comp button. — Called this comp
“Frame Spyer” (just for fun)Then UN-checked “Synchronize time of all related items” in Preferences.
Then I clicked on my viewer — pressed CMND OPTION SHIFT “n” to split the viwer and lock the 1st one.
Now I can park my current time indicator on any frame I want (in the Frame spyer comp) then click over to my actual comp — make changes and watch on the “Frame Spyer” window how my changes affect that frame…

Yar, easy to create new viewers. The trick is learning how they get “locked” and how to attach them within the panes so you don’t keep burying the open windows. Helps to have at least two displays.

Something I do quite often…is park my indicator where I want to watch and then double click the keyframe I want to edit…it opens with a dialogue window that allows you to enter data. Only issue is it isn’t dynamic, so you can’t use a *slider* like you can if you are dragging the value in your timeline and see the results live.
