I just built a new PC and have an LG Blu-Ray/DVD drive (WH12LS38). The specs on this drive say it burns to BD, DVD, CD. It plays blu-ray & DVD discs fine, and ImgBurn can burn a CD or DVD fine. However DVDA does not list it as a drive to burn with. Any ideas?

See this complaint a number of times…Make sure the driver is
the newest version and restart your pc.

Thanks, Steve. But it seems to be a generic plug-n-play device using Windows 7, no specific driver. I can’t seem to find one from LG.

Update solution: After reading the Sony forum someone suggested to set the “Use legacy disc drivers” on the Preferences/Burning tab. So I went there and it was already checked. So I unchecked it, and this fixed my problem. Weird, because on my Windows 7 laptop running the same DVDA 5.2 this option is checked and the burner is recognized.

You might want to check to see if there is a firmware update for your
dvd/bd drive. This could solve your problem. It did with my LiteOn.
