I have had Sony Vegas for over a year. Just now, after using it about a week ago, I tried opening it to edit a movie I made, and it made my computer blue screen, and instantly restart. When the computer was on, I tried again and got the same result. What happened?

Have you installed new hardware or updated your video drivers lately? Video drivers are especially temperamental.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

If you take the Windows minidump file that’s created and post it to a Microsoft forum, someone will analyze it and let you know what’s causing the issue.
