  Auto-Tracing Colors?

  Using the “Leave Color” and other effects I’ve been able to isolate a particular color in my project (green in one part, orange in another, and pink in a third) but I’d like to generate masks around these colors in order to apply further effects. I’ve tried auto-tracing and thought this would work since it is clearly the only color on the screen, but it traces white areas as well. Is there a way to do this using Auto-Trace (or another tool)? As it stands I can only think of going through and masking these with the pen by hand…but I’d like to avoid this as this is a 3 minute video and that’d take forever. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  Just a quick thought, why not use a color key to isolate your color on the layer? This tutorial might point you in the right direction on that. https://library.creativecow.net/articles/kahlenberg_roland/coolsville.php
