I’m playing around with the green screen and have a beginner’s question.

Obviously I have (at least) two tracks that are combined to one, the forground and the background. I wonder what ways I’ve overlooked to treat them as one.

For example: How do I specify a fade offset for both? I can’t specify one for both individually, the forground would become transparent during the fade.

I can have the two tracks as children of a parent which contains only white and composites with “multiply”. That way, I can fade the combination by fading the white.

But that seems complicated and doesn’t work for related problems, such as cross-fades to other footage.

Do I have to use Vegas Pro sub-projects for that? I only have Movie Studio.

    Thanks for any advice, Jens
