  render leaves some sections black.

  I am using two sometimes three files (.avi) all the same formatting. I have one file as the main program while the other two were from previous performances that I am using to patch up bad camera work and better scene framing etc.

  So I have all edited and am now trying to render to mpg. Every render I have done thus far has only black from the secondary file inserts into the main edit. Any ideas why that is happening?

  What codec did you use to render the AVI files that you are using as the source? It could be a codec issue.
